i was a manager in regis co. 4 5 years.

i was awarded employee and manager 4 my salon. i had no training when i first started except 2 days. had serval area supervisor. i actually taught myself most everything in the salon.

u don't get call back from are supervisor 4 days if any. regioanl manager never want 2 take the manager side always 4 area supervisor side. maybe somebody should b checking on the regional manager. maybe she isn't doing her job properly.

havorstim is never good. maybe somebody should check on ohio regis co.

salon division. seems like they r making alot of miskates.

Seems to me a "manager" should at least be literate before they start bashing the performance of others.

I just quit Regis salon a week ago and the manager and district manager suck. They don't do their jobs and don't follow the rule book for scheduling and better yet the manager got a tattoo on her hand and was cutting hair with no gloves or bandaids covering her hand.

Then raw sewer backed up into our salon she used every single twoel in the cupboard to clean it washed them and is using them in people that get their hair done.

Its disgusting. She is awful so don't ever work in Guthrie OK for this company.

I have 23yrs exp,in cosmetology.I have been manager for Regis/smart styles division and had to relocate when i moved, at the new location i worked for Regis upon completing my 90 days the new manager,said she had to let me go :cry I had a few cuts come back for redos??? now, being a previous manager for the company,I asked if Regis had training classes.

the New manager said No. (i know they are suppose to once a month have in salon training classes.)So if i believe her on that, should i believe her when she couldnt even tell me who my clients were that came back for redos.The 90 days i worked Not 1 time did that location have a DVD workshop that are suppose to be held monthly. I am still unemployed and thanks to Regis not backing a very exp, stylist, am about to lose my home.

Thanks Regis for making 20yr olds managers that DONT do their jobs! :sigh

It breaks my heart to hear so many horror stories clients have regarding poor cosmetology skills. I have been a stylist for over 20 years and have heard many stories similar to those shared here. I am currently managing a salon and try to teach my staff the best way to approach haircare and fabulous services.

I have wanted to be an area supervisor for a very long time and feel like I could make a difference in larger arena.

My best advice to not salon jump. Find a stylist and only go to them. Ask questions to get a feel for what that stylist may or may not know. You can tell by talking to someone if they are full of ***.

You have to work under store managers that have power trips and think they know how to run salons better than salon professionals. Its a very cut throat company.

Y DONT THEY CHECK INTO THESE AREA N REGIONAL MANAGERS A LIL MORE AND ACTUALLY SEE IF THEY R DOIN WHAT THEY R SURPOSED TO BE DOIN INSTEAD OF GOIN ON ALL THESE TRIPS N SAY THEY HAVE BEEN TO THER SALONS N NOT EVEN SHOW UP!!!!THESE PEOPLE GET IT MADE AND THINK THEY SHOULD GET ON TO THER MANAGERS FOR WHAT THE OTHER STYLIST DO N DONT DO THEY SAY THE SECRET SHOP THER SALON WELL THEY DONT DO IT ENOUGH CUZ I HAVE WALKED INTO SOME OF THER SALONS AND SEE THE GIRLS NOT BUSY,N SITTIN AT THER STATION READIN A BOOK OR ON THER CELL PHONE TALKIN AWAY OR TXTIN ....INSTEAD OF TRYIN TO GET PEOPLE IN OR TRY TO CLEAN THER SALON UP! :upset the ohio area supervisor that regional manager hires don't have any business having that job. maybe regis should check on regional managers more often
